Mainally Cattery began with a love for this gentle giant of the domestic feline world. Our first Maine Coon was a huge brown classic tabby named Ally. The "Main" in our Cattery name is for Maine Coon and the "Ally" is for our wonderful big girl. We have been truly captivated by this wonderful loving breed.
Mainally is a very small cattery located in central Maryland. Our cats have the run of the house and are never caged. We are their cooks, servants, and their source of entertainment. All our cats are handled and played with daily to ensure they have plenty of exercise and attention.

From time to time we have retired adults available for adoption. We treasure these cats and want the rest of their lives to be happy and content. Our cats are all wonderful and will be great additions to a wonderful home.
Mainally Cattery screens all cats for hypertrophic cardio-myopathy (HCM) before breeding. Our cats are taken to a licensed veterinary cardiologist to have a doppler ultrasound performed to ensure there is no evidence of HCM at time of screening and cats are clear to be bred. We continue to do this throughout the time the cats are used in our breeding program. Although as breeders we do all we can to ensure the heart health of a cat, there is never a guarantee that a cat will not develop HCM. No one can make that guarantee.
